I heard your group last night in Oak Brook and your music pleasantly surprised me. I liked your range of musical choices. You captured Basie’s “April in
Paris” in great fashion. “One more, one more time.” I loved it. Most touching was your arrangement of “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square” — a favorite of mine. Your close harmony was well-sung. I liked the favorites like “Sh Boom” and “Blue Monk”. …You have a close sound to the Manhattan Transfer which I
am quite fond. Thank you a wonderful evening of my favorite music. Your name says it all, Jazz Spectrum.

“Without a doubt, the finest jazz group in Lake County. If you want to hear excellent vocal blends, you’ve got to hear the Jazz Spectrum singers…and if you get a chance to see and hear them live, it’s a MUST!

Your group gave a tremendous performance. The crowd really enjoyed the variety of songs from the various eras…multi-talented musicians and vocalists. I personally heard many favorable comments as I walked through the audience.

My husband and I attended the wonderful music concert at Lincoln Park on Tuesday night. The concert was great! The jazz (vocal) quartet and musicians
were all very talented and their voices blended so well together…maybe 100 people attended this concert on a lovely summer night. We just don’t understand why more people were not there. You missed some great music…it’s worth the drive no matter where you live in Kenosha.

Musical professionals have written about the sound produced by Jazz Spectrum’s four vocalists and five instrumentalists in flattering terms. If I were asked to describe the music….Zoomy. Delicious. Upbeat. Palpable. Elliptic. Sassy. Inquisitive. Anticipatory. Upbeat. Witty. Audacious. Upbeat. Astonishing. Sexy. Precise. And upbeat. I hope I didn’t forget to mention UPBEAT!

I saw Jazz Spectrum for the first time last summer in Palatine, IL. I was awestruck. In the 40 years I’ve been performing as a musician, I’ve never been so excited about a group. The zest with which Jazz Spectrum approaches each of its songs is readily apparent. They are even more impressive in person.
You’ll like the jazz harmonies, but best of all, you’ll smile as you listen.

Oh, I love it! That’s Jazz Spectrum. Last week I went to their CD release party and what a fun time we had. We’ll have to keep tabs on this Jazz Spectrum, just
a fine band and great quartet of fine, fine singers. Keep it coming!
